   Beaver dam on Vancouver Island: this dam is approximately 70 feet wide and up to 5 feet tall. Below you can see   some trees that were chewed off by beavers to build this dam:
 
         
 

 
In the next set of photos you see a beaver dam at the Eiterbach near Langenpreising, Germany.In these photos, the beavers have chewed off corn stalks and dragged them into the creek for food. They slide the stalks down the beaver slide:
